The euro zone's January unemployment rate was unchanged at 8.4 per cent from both a year earlier and from December's figure, which was revised from 8.5 per cent, the EU statistics office Eurostat said today.
For the EU-15, the unemployment rate of 7.7 per cent was also unchanged both from a year earlier and from December's rate, which was revised from 7.8 per cent, it said.
