Bogota - The European Union offered yesterday to act as a facilitator in peace negotiations between the Colombian government and the rebel Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC).
"I think that the international community, which has played a very important role in other peace processes, also can help in Colombia," the Swedish Ambassador to Bogota, Mr Bjorn Sternby, said.
