London - Eton College, which is attended by Prince William, attracted publicity yesterday after revelations that students played a death-defying "fainting game".
The bizarre details were unveiled during a coroner's court hearing into the death by hanging in February of Nicholas Taylor (15) at the school. The East Berkshire Coroner's Court heard that, in the game, a dressing-gown cord was tied around a player's neck and fellow pupils pulled the cord tight until he fainted. A verdict of death by misadventure was recorded.
