England supporters who have ignored Government advice not to travel to Istanbul will be safe in the city, Turkish fans said today.
There was no sign of any England supporters in central Istanbul today but small groups of English people were being allowed into the city through the airport.
The groups were being filmed by Turkish police after landing at the airport.
They also faced questioning by officials but it appeared they were being allowed to continue their journeys, although none would admit coming to Turkey to watch the match.
