A MEMBER of the Northern Ireland Police Authority has said that the disbandment of the RUC is now inevitable, and he has called for the formation of a totally new police force.
Mr Francis Rocks, a former SDLP councillor, said. "The Orange Order has a situation where the RUC is there to drive the nationalists back into the ghettoes, and the only legality the Orange Order has to abide by is to inform the RUC of its intention to march.
"The people who have signed the death warrant of the RUC is the Orange Order."
The Police Authority chairman, Mr Pat Armstrong, also said it would be seeking explanations from the Chief Constable, Sir Hugh Annesley, of his decisions
