The final running order for this year's Electric Picnic festival, which features acts such as Arcade Fire, Interpol, DJ Shadow, The Chemical Brothers, Pulp and PJ Harvey, has been announced.

The festival, which has been staged since 2004 at Stradbally Estate, Co Laois, begins next Friday with local band The Little Smoke kicking off things on the Cosby Stage at 3pm and acoustic duo The Lost Brothers taking to the main stage just 30 minutes later.

Also appearing on the main stage on Friday night are Sinead O'Connor, reggae legend Jimmy Cliff, PJ Harvey and New York-based Interpol who are set to appear at 10.30pm.

Elsewhere, Sharon Corr, the Rapture, Santigold and DJ Shadow will all be performing in the Electric stage on the opening night of the festival while Warpaint, M.Ward and the Charlatans are among those appearing on the Crawdaddy stage.

Edward Sharp & the Magnetic Zeros headline on the Cosby stage while Gavin Friday, Twin Shadow and The Pains of Being Pure at Heart also play the same stage.

While most stages have a 12pm curfew the Little Big tent will remain open to 2am with Shit Robot and Potbelleez headlining on the Friday.

The music starts early on Saturday with acts hitting the stages from 12.15pm onwards. Among the highlights on the main stage on Saturday are Toots & the Maytals, James Blake, Lykke Li, Arcade Fire and headliners The Chemical Brothers, who will be performing till 2am.

Among the highlights on the Electric arena stage on Saturday are Le Galaxie who hit the stage at 1.30 pm, The Rubberbandits, Jape, OMD, Death in Vegas and lastly hip hop legends Public Enemy.

Trentemoller is the headliner on the Crawdaddy stage on Saturday while Retarded Cop and Midlake also play. Highlights from the Cosby show include indie act The Walkmen, Codes and Micah P Hinson.

Dublin Gospel Choir perform at their regular Sunday slot on the main stage at 1pm while The Unthanks, Beirut and Underworld and headliners Pulp will also be appearing on the same stage.

Mogwai, White Lies, Big Audio Dynamite and The Go! Team are on the Electric Arena stage on Sunday while Clap Your Hands Say Yeah headline the Crawdaddy Stage. Other Sunday highlights include Caitlin Rose and Zola Jesus on the Cosby stage and Adam Beyer at the Little Big Tent.

Some 32,500 tickets were made available for this year's festival, which also features comedy, theatre, spoken word and more. Weekend camping tickets priced at €240 and Sunday day tickets costing €99.50 are still available for purchase at www.ticketmaster.ie.
