A MAJOR prize has been scooped by Michael Behan, Transition Year co-ordinator at Loreto College, Swords, Co Dublin, and his students. A team of four from the school won the Mobile Oil Schools' Video Competition. The prize money will be used to buy an up-to-the-minute digital camera, says Behan.
The win will make a great difference to the school. "The camera we have is was 12 years old," he says. The winning students were Sinead Neylon, Susan Kenealy, Nuala Dormer and Deirdre Keaney. Their brief was to create a 10-minute video on an environmental theme. Their video, Park Life, looked at the controversy over the siting of Fingal Co Council headquarters.
