Seventh-grade pupils at the Rimon middle school in Ra'anana, Israel, have gone on strike over the school's failure to fire a history teacher accused of pushing a female pupil to the floor.

Pupils acknowledged that the teacher has been taunted by students for her weight. Her husband has been quoted by local newspapers as accusing the pupils of persecuting his wife and showing her disrespect.
