Have you ever been part of planning a week of youth action for human rights? Would you like to be? Amnesty International is holding a workshop to help you plan a week of action, share ideas and make your mark. Workshops on getting ready for the week of youth action, creative campaigning and working with the media will take place on Saturday, November 7th from 10am to 5pm at the Carmelite Centre, 56 Aungier Street, Dublin 2. Course for Parents on Dyslexia

A one-day course on dyslexia, for parents, will be held in conjunction with a one-day course for junior cycle students (students in first, second or third year) in the Carlton Millrace Hotel, Bunclody, Co Wexford on Saturday, November 7th. The Law of Education: One-Day Training Course

“The Law of Education: Legal principles and school practices”, a one-day training course, will be held in Mullingar, Co Westmeath on Saturday, November 7th. School policies and supervision issues will be among the topics.

The speaker will be Mary Meaney, general editor of the Primary Education Management Manual and co-author of Special Educational Needs and the Law. The course is open to primary and secondary teachers, members of boards of management, psychologists, health professionals, parents and representatives of relevant organisations.  Postgraduate Open Day at Burren College of Art

Burren College of Art is holding on open day on Friday, November 6th. Those interested in pursuing a PhD, Master of Fine Art or a Post Baccalaureate (Higher Diploma) in Fine Art, all of which are accredited by the National University of Ireland, Galway and delivered at the BCA campus in Ballyvaughan, Co Clare, are invited to attend.

The open day will give interested artists the opportunity to tour the campus and studios. Faculty and admissions staff will be on hand to discuss the programmes, the admissions process and information on grants and scholarships will also be available. We can arrange for portfolio reviews on request.
