Students Invited to Test Computer Games Development
As part of the four-year honours degree in computer games development, fourth-, fifth- and sixth-year school students interested in studying computer games development are invited to visit IT Carlow and play-test the fourth-year final project games. The “Play-testing Day” takes place tomorrow on the college campus. Interested students should e-mail games@itcarlow.ie.
Griffith College Open Evening
Griffith College is running seminars on starting your own business and CV preparation tomorrow evening. The seminars are free and include a study skills seminar for Leaving Cert students and their parents. All are welcome. Association of Teachers of Spanish Workshop
The Association of Teachers of Spanish is holding a workshop on Saturday, May 8th in Blackrock Education Centre from 9am to 1pm. The workshop will focus on methodologies for Transition Year and strategies for teaching written expression at Leaving Certificate (Higher and Ordinary levels). The workshop is free of charge to members of the ATS, but pre-registration is essential as places are limited. To register, e-mail lmccudden@atsireland.com. Dyslexia Association of Ireland Parents’ Course
The Dyslexia Association is holding a course for parents in the Radisson Hotel, Cork Airport on Saturday, May 8th. It begins at 10am and the cost is €60 for members, €85 for non-members. DAI is also holding an in-service course for teachers in UCC. The course is open to primary and second-level teachers and takes place on July 1st, 2nd, 5th, and 6th from 9.30am to 2pm each day. UCC Graduate Career Forums
A series of one-day seminars for graduates who are seeking employment will take place from May 10th to 18th, starting with information and communications technology, electrical and electronic engineering on May 10th.
