BIGEAR at UL

The University of Limerick is hosting a BIGEAR regional seminar this Thursday, November 13th. BIGEAR stands for Business Innovation and Growth from the Exploitation of Academic Research and is a network of European Technology Transfer Specialists.

Future choices at UCD

A seminar on careers and third-level options for students and their parents is to be held in UCD on Saturday, November 22nd from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. A family ticket costs 125. Post-primary teacher education

The Department of Education, University College Cork (in conjunction with the Cork branch of the National Association of Principals and Deputy Principals) presents 'The future of Post-Primary Teacher Education: Co-operation and Collaboration Conference' this Friday and Saturday, November 14th and 15th. Netd@ys - new media technology

The overall objective of Netd@ys (November 17th to 23rd) is to promote the educational use of new media technologies in the areas of education and culture. This is an excellent opportunity for schools to showcase their work in the field of ICT. The theme for Netd@ys 2003 is 'Dialogue Between Cultures'. BSI keynote lecture

'Where are the Limits of Medicine: Are We Turning the Whole World into Patients?' by Richard Smith, editor of the British Medical Journal, this Friday, November 14th, in Boole Lecture Theatre Four, UCC at 7 p.m. All welcome. Admission free. Also, UCC's Department of Electrical Engineering presents an exhibition of paintings by Cork artist Angela Fewer in the foyer exhibition area, until Saturday, November 22nd.

Guide for mature students 2004

Entry to full-time third-level courses. The 11th edition of the guide has just been published by the Department of Education and Science. It is aimed at people aged at least 23 years on January 1st, 2004, who are seeking entry to full-time undergraduate courses as mature students in autumn 2004.
