SWINE FLU AND MENINGITIS
School children are amongst the groups which can suffer the worst effects of swine flu, and the HSE is advising teens to get the vaccine. HSE vaccination teams are visiting schools around the country to administer vaccines to school children and staff.
Meanwhile, the Meningitis Trust has developed a teachers’ handbook, Meningitis Education for All, which contains all the information that primary and secondary schools need to know about meningitis. Download the handbook on meningitis-trust.ie or call the 24-hour nurse helpline on 1800-523-19624.
