This week sees the publication of Career Choice, the definitive guide to careers and courses in Ireland, published by the Collins Press, and available in most good bookshops at £7.99.

Career Choice is written by Anne Byrne, careers and guidance correspondent of The Irish Times and an Education & Living writer, with job profiles for each career contributed by Catherine Foley, news and features writer with Education & Living.

The book takes students, teachers and parents from making a career choice, through the CAO system for college entry to university and ITs, to selecting courses in PLC colleges and careers in areas outside the CAO, such as tourism, the Defence Forces, the Garda, FAS apprenticeships and agriculture.

This is the essential guide to courses and careers and mirrors the wide range of courses and careers covered on a weekly basis in Education & Living.
