A help desk for primary teachers who have queries about the use of computers, software and IT in general has been set up by the INTO and the National Centre for Technology in Education (NCTE). The line is part of a pilot INTO/NCTE project resulting from the IT 2000 initiative.
The helpline number is 1850 217 317 - it's open between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. from Monday to Thursday each week. Teachers with technical, rather than pedagogic, queries should call NCTE directly at 1850 704 040.
