ON A COMMEMORATIVE MURAL

Dáire Healy: A few weeks ago, we started painting a mural to commemorate a milestone of the school: the handing over from the Christian Brothers to a lay trust. It took two to three weeks to make the mural, and we'll be handing it over at a ceremony in Cork later this month.

ON ARCHERY

DH: I'm a member of the Woodbrook Archers, and I'm on the junior team at the moment. It's an unusual sport but it's a lot of fun. You learn to be patient and to keep a cool head under pressure.

ON SWINE FLU

DH: The vaccination programme has just begun, but I feel it's been blown somewhat out of proportion. People who catch it don't seem to be in trouble unless they have a pre-existing medical condition.

ON NAMA

Eoghan Fintan: The economy is in such bad times, so hopefully Nama will get the banks working again. It's a good idea, but it's also a big risk: if it doesn't work out, it's my generation who will end up paying for it.

ON PART-TIME JOBS

Fiachra Bradley: The recession has made it harder to find work experience or a part-time job. It seems your best bet now is to know someone who can help get you experience.

I’m trying to find work in a sound studio, but it’s proving difficult.

ON THE ARCTIC MONKEYS

FB: I like this band's style of music, its upbeat with influences from rock, jazz, and pop all mixed in. I'd love to see them play at the O2 in Dublin, but it's sold out.

ON A LACK OF ACTIVITIES

Padraig Hogan: There is not a lot of facilities for sports and activities in Bray, so there's not a lot for young people to do. It would be great if the cinema reopened or a new one took its place.
