Where did you go to school? Dan:CBC Monkstown for a bit, Clonkeen for two years and St Conleth's College. Becs:Mount Anville.

Were you cool or were you one of the nerdy kids?

Dan:God no. I wasn't a nerd. I wasn't bullied out of all those schools if that's what you mean. I just liked moving schools a lot. Becs: I was a bit of a nerd. Not socially, but I worked hard.

Give us an extract of a school report . . .

Dan:"Daniel is one of the most creative students I've ever had the honour to teach in my class. If at some point in the future he doesn't win numerous awards for excellence in various creative fields I'll be very much surprised."

Becs:"If Rebecca paid as much attention to her studies as she does to her appearance she'd be brighter than the sun."

Who was your favourite teacher and why?

Dan:The one with the nice jabs who'd let us off homework in return for sweets and chocolate. I believe she's let herself go in recent years. What a waste!

Becs:We could get away with anything by claiming "women's problems" with one teacher. He'd always be too embarrassed to say anything back to us.

What did you spend your pocket money on?

Dan:Well it certainly wasn't spent paying off bullies to leave me alone if that's what you're getting at. Most likely I spent it on CDs, DVDs and in later years cans of Bulmers. In fact most of it still goes on CDs, DVDs and cans of Bulmers. Pat and Anne still haven't cut me off entirely.

Becs:Clothes, make-up and Take That merchandise.

What was the first album you bought?

Dan:Probably something by The Floyd or Dylan. My tastes were pretty advanced for a six year-old.

Becs:I think it may have been Boyzone or Take That. I'm not embarrassed to admit it. Bring on the Boyzone reunion. What's on your iPod now?

Dan:Right now I'm digging LCD Soundsystem, The Go! Team (both were great at Electric Picnic a couple of weeks back), A-Trak and Irish band Delorentos. Actually, if anyone can get me tickets to LCD Soundsystem gig in Tripod in October send them in to The Irish Times and they'll forward them on to me. Cheers.

Becs:I dropped my iPod down the toilet. Don't ask!

What posters did you have on your bedroom wall?

Dan:Several of Billie Piper during her glory pop career years before she married that ginger, Chris Evans. What was she thinking?

Becs:Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's (my role model), Marilyn Monroe and one of Kavana(!). Who remembers Kavana? Yuck!

Who was your first crush?

Dan:Belle from Disney's Beauty and The Beast, but she's a cartoon so Tasha Yar (Denise Crosby) from Star Trek: The Next Generation. I honestly wasn't a nerd.

Becs:It seems it may have been Kavana or Gary Barlow. I don't know which is worse.

Who would play you in a movie of your younger days?

Dan:Any era - Jimmy Stewart. Modern actor - Zach Braff.

Becs:If I could have anyone from any era I'd pick Audrey Hepburn.

What did you study in college?

Dan:Film in Dún Laoghaire, but I feel I actually learned more from the school of life - mainly because I missed most of my lectures.

Becs:BESS in Trinity (dropped out), arts in UCD (dropped out) and fashion in Ballyfermot.

Regrets? Have you had a few?

Dan:Too many to mention. Mostly girls I didn't score that I knew I could have. Too late now!

Becs:Never regret anything. Life's too short. That's my motto.
