A mother lost her fight yesterday to establish the right of dyslexic children to be given extra time to sit the 11plus examination.

After dismissing the Derry woman's action in the High Court in Belfast, a judge said he understood her concerns and expressed the hope her dyslexic son did well in the exam - the results of which are due out next month.
