After a marathon bank holiday weekend the roads will be that bit easier to negotiate this week but there are still some potential blackspots around the capital, especially, that should be avoided.

In Dublin this evening the Magner's League derby between Leinster and Connacht will take place at the RDS in Ballsbridge and kicks off 7.30pm.

The game is yet to sell out and tickets can be bought from 5pm at Ticketmaster on Anglesea Road and Simmonscourt Road or at the Leinster Rugby Store (Donnybrook) and Spar (Donnybrook).

A family ticket is available for €50.

Leopardstown will host two days racing on Saturday and Sunday with the first race starting at 1.15pm tomorrow. Racing on Sunday will be between 12:35pm and 4:15pm

Parking at the event is free but motorists are urged to leave early to avoid traffic disruption.

On Sunday at Cork racecourse there will be punters aplenty in time for the first at 1.15pm in Mallow.

Back in Dublin on Sunday evening, Phoenix Park will play host to the unique Latino beats of Manu Chao.

The Big top holds 10,000 so motorists can expect some congestion around the entrances to the park on the Castleknock Road, Knockmaroon Hill, Chapelizod Hill, Conyngham Road and on Parkgate Street.

Those travelling to the gig are urged to avail of the Dublin Bus service running from Burgh Quay to the park.

Return tickets are €5, singles are €3.

Most parts of the country should enjoy a dry weekend according to Met Eireann, but there will be some patchy drizzle in the northwest this evening, which will slowly move south this evening to make way for clearer weather for Ulster.

Rain and drizzle is expected to die out tomorrow morning to leave a dry day with some bright spells.

Dry spells are to continue on Sunday and daytime temperatures will be in the low teens.
