Straight outta Bristol comes new drum 'n' bass star Krust, who performs at the Kitchen next Friday. A former memeber of Roni Size's Reprazent crew, Krust has been instrumental in the development of drum 'n' bass, and brings the genre one step further with his solo debut album, Coded Language. Drum 'n' bass is still the runt of the hip-hop litter, but Krust carries the weight of ten years experience and experimentation; he first appeared on Fresh 4's version of Wishin' On A Star, developing his mix of funk, reggae and breakbeat techno while DJ-ing on the UK underground scene. Coded Language delivers a dark drum 'n' bass message, taking the listener on a breakneck trip over the edge of the dance-floor. An emotional element is added by the soulful vocals of singer Morgan (pictured right with Krust), while Saul Williams does some street smart representing.
