Herbal cannabis with a street value of €250,000 has been seized in Co Meath.
Officers from Revenue’s Customs Service seized the drugs after it arrived in a bag in Dublin airport. A 42-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Kells Garda station for questioning.
Some six kilograms of cannabis resin, with a street value of €70,000, was seized at a house in Ballincollig, Co Cork yesterday. The consignment had been discovered by Customs at Dublin airport.
A 30-year-old man was arrested and is in custody in Guerranebraher Garda station.
