Armagh will open their All-Ireland SFC title defence against Monaghan in the only first round tie of the Ulster Championship following this evening's draw for the Senior Football and Hurling Championships.

Meanwhile All-Ireland Hurling champions Kilkenny will face the winners of a preliminary Leinster round in the semi-final, avoiding the other heavyweights of Offaly and Wexford.

Tipperary have yet again been drawn against Clare in the Munster Hurling Championship opening round while Limerick and Cork both receive bys to the semi-final leaving Waterford and Kerry to battle it out in the second ¼ final.

Roscommon versus Galway is the tie of the round in the Connacht Football Championship as Mayo are the fortunate ones with the by into the semi-finals.
