HOUSTON - The Republican presidential nominee, Mr Bob Dole, was slightly ahead of President Clinton among Texas voters in a poll conducted as the President was ordering missile attacks against Iraq last week, the Houston Chronicle reported yesterday. Mr Dole was favoured by 44 per cent of the 1,007 registered voters polled, compared with 41 per cent for Mr Clinton and 4 per cent for Mr Ross Perot, the newspaper said.
