Dogs stolen in raid on animal shelter

A search is under way for a gang who broke into an animal sanctuary and stole six dogs who were being treated there

A search is under way for a gang who broke into an animal sanctuary and stole six dogs who were being treated there. Gardaí fear that the animals may suffer further abuses after they were taken in a raid at the sanctuary in Co Galway.

The Galway Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (GSPCA) facility located near the village of Killimor was ransacked during the raid.

Six dogs who were being treated at the sanctuary were taken in the raid. The GSPCA have appealed for information on 091-563631.
