The wife of the East Belfast MP, Mr Peter Robinson, needed hospital treatment after being attacked by a Rottweiler while campaigning for a seat in the new Northern Ireland Assembly.
Party officials had to rush to the aid of Mrs Iris Robinson as she canvassed in Newtownards, Co Down. She was rushed to the Ulster Hospital at Dundonald and given an injection.
