Mr Barry O¹Neill, former chief executive of Eircom’s digital media division Rondomondo has joined Perfect World, the digital media company, as a director and shareholder.
Founded last year by Mr Damian Ryan, Perfect World offers consultancy services for organisations working in the traditional and digital media sectors.
Mr Ryan is former chief executive and co-founder of ICAN, the online advertising agency.
In November, the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Ms Harney, reported that the Digital Media sector has the potential to increase exports from approximately €380 million to €889 million by the year 2007 and to increase employment from about 500 to 1,500 people over the same period.
About 250 companies are directly involved in the development of digital media content, technologies and services sectors in Ireland.
