New manager Gavin Dykes must wait for his first win in charge of Derry City after being held to a draw by 10-man Cork City at the Brandywell.

Derry, without a league win since June, went behind after just four minutes when striker Kevin Doyle fired the visitors in front but Pat Dolan's side failed to build on their lead and were reduced to 10 men five minutes into the second half when George O'Callaghan saw red.

That incident acted served as a turning point and the Candystripes were soon on terms, Michael Holt netting the equaliser on 62 minutes. However, despite pressing for a winner, Derry were unable to press their numerical advantage home and remain second-bottom in the table.
