A HIGH Court judge in Belfast has criticised the delay in hearing compensation claims against the Ministry of Defence by the families of three men shot dead by the SAS in Strabane in 1985. "We are now 12 years on and that is far too long," Mr Justice Campbell said yesterday.

Charles Breslin and two brothers, Michael and David Devine, were carrying loaded rifles when they were shot in a field near Fountain Street.

The judge said the cases would now come under the management of the court. He directed that they be listed for mention on March 21st.
