Paris - The German-born French photographer, Gisele Freund, famous for her pictures of writers and intellectuals, has died from a heart attack at the age of 91, her agent said yesterday.
Born in Berlin in 1908, Freund became a student activist and fled Germany when the Nazis took power, settling in Paris in 1933.
