The death has taken place of the Rev Peter Good, who was Methodist minister in Omagh at the time of the bombing in 1998. Two of his church members died in the explosion.
Mr Good was chairman of the northwest district of the Methodist Church in Ireland and was to retire from active ministry at the church's conference in June.
He was a native of Ballyclare, Co Antrim, and his father was the Rev R.G. Good, a former president of the Methodist Church.
Mr Good represented Ireland at the World Cross Country Athletics Championships in 1960. During his 30 years as a minister he served in Co Donegal, Dundrum, Co Dublin, Whiteabbey, Lurgan and Omagh in Northern Ireland.
He is survived by his wife, Jean, children Andrew, Jenny and Emma, and his brothers, the Rev Harold Good, and Mr Robin Good.
