The need for DNA analysis has delayed the investigation into the death of a Co Galway man, Dublin District Court heard yesterday, but a file on the killing of Mr Tom Clisham (54) in Inverin on November 25th will be ready for the DPP within a week.

Mr Patrick McGreene (23) of Corrib Park and St Mary's Road, Galway, is charged with causing his uncle, Mr Clisham, serious harm.

Supt Jim Sugrue said DNA testing was required because of the body's condition when found. He was speaking during an objection to a further remand by Mr Micheal P. O'Higgins, who said the inquiry had been under way since last November. Judge Desmond Hogan granted a further remand in custody to March 25th.
