London - The trial date for the man accused of killing eight-year-old schoolgirl Sarah Payne was set yesterday.
Mr Roy William Whiting (42), of Littlehampton, Sussex, pleaded not guilty to kidnap and murder at Lewes Crown Court and was ordered to stand trial on November 13th. He was remanded in custody until then.
Sarah disappeared on July 1st, 2000, near Littlehampton. After a nationwide search her body was found two weeks later 10 miles from where she vanished.
