Republic of Ireland centre-back Kenny Cunnigham this afternoon applied the finishing formalities to his transfer to Premiership newcomers Birmingham City.
The 31-year-old Dubliner, who has won 40 caps for his country, including two substitute appearances in this summer's World Cup, signed a four-year contract.
Cunningham is expected to marshall the middle of Birmignham's defence alongside another new signing, Senegal captain Aliou Cissé. He told the club's official website, www.bcfc.com: "There were a number of reasons for my move but the main one was the attraction of Premiership football."
