Crumlin-Drimnagh gang feud: the killings

At least ten people have been killed in the Crumlin-Drimnagh gang feud.

2001 - A 20-year-old man is murdered. He was accused by his rivals of supplying information to gardaí that led to a major drugs seizure. He cannot be named for legal reasons as criminal proceedings are pending.

July 16th, 2002 - Joseph Rattigan (18), Drimnagh, is shot dead in retaliation for the 2001 murder. The feud lines between the rival factions are now clearly established. Paddy Doyle is a suspect for the killing.

February 25th, 2004 - Paul Warren (23), Dolphin's Barn, is shot dead. His killing is seen as retaliation for Joseph Rattigan's murder.

March 9th, 2005 - John Roche (24), Drimnagh, is shot dead in Kilmainham. The same gang suspected of killing Joseph Rattigan is believed to be behind Roche's murder.

November 13th, 2005 - Darren Geoghegan (26) and Gavin Byrne (30) shot dead in Firhouse. Both were in the same gang as Paul Warren. Gardaí believe they may have been killed by their own gang in an internal row.

November 15th, 2005 - Noel Roche (27), the brother of murdered John Roche, is shot dead in Clontarf. The same gang suspected of killing Joseph Rattigan is believed to be behind Roche's murder. Paddy Doyle is a suspect for the shooting.

August 19th, 2006 - Wayne Zambra (21), Dublin 8, is shot dead. He was once part of the gang that killed Paul Warren but is believed to have been killed by them in an internal drugs row.

September 26th, 2006 - Gary Bryan (31), the man who pulled the trigger in the Paul Warren killing, is shot dead. He had just been released from jail and his killing is believed to be revenge for the Warren murder.

December 1st, 2006 - Eddie McCabe (21), Drimnagh, is beaten to death in Inchicore. Though not closely gang affiliated, he is believed to have been at the scene of the Wayne Zambra murder.
