Father of three Flor Crowley (42) was killed in a crash at Old Chapel outside Bandon, Co Cork on Sunday.

Mr Crowley was on his way to Mass with his wife Aideen and their couple’s three young daughters when their car struck a ditch.

Mr Crowley’s removal took place yesterday to Bolster’s Funeral Home in Bandon. His funeral Mass will take place this afternoon at 2pm at St Patrick’s Church, Bandon, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Mr Crowley worked at his brother Niall’s firm Impact Training in Maryborough, Co Cork.The Bandon-based accountant was not involved in politics professionally, but worked on his brother’s campaigns.

Brian Crowley (45) has topped the poll in Munster in every election he has contested. Co-president of the UEN political group (Union for Europe of the Nations) in the European Parliament, he has said he would like to run for the presidency in 2011.

His father Flor Crowley snr, who died in 1997, served as a TD and senator for various Cork constituencies in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. He and his wife Sally had six children.
