Two men have been charged for an incident at Kingscourt, Co Cavan, when gardaí foiled a robbery at a business premises on Main Street in the town.
Gardaí were responding to reports of the burglary and when they arrived at the scene they were confronted by three men in their early 20s and 30s.
The men were arrested at the scene.
Two of the arrested men were detained at Bailieboro Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

The third man was detained at Carrickmacross Garda station before being released without charge.
The two men appeared before Monaghan District Court at 2.30pm on Saturday afternoon.
