Cash-in-transit van robbed by man armed with wheel-brace

Gardai are investigating robbery that took place on Church Street, Finglas

A cash-in-transit security worker was robbed on Sunday afternoon while making a collection at a pub on Church Street in Finglas, Dublin.

The security company employee was approached by a man reportedly wearing a balaclava and armed with a wheel-brace. The man told the security worker to drop the cashbox. The raider then picked up the cashbox and was seen to disappear in a silver car that was waiting for him.

A large amount of money was stolen. No arrests have been made at this point and Gardai are investigating.
