The crew of a fishing boat has been rescued off the Kerry coast after a fire broke out on board.

The crew of a fishing boat has been rescued off the Kerry coast after a fire broke out on board.

The crew of three abandoned the Spailpeen Faineachafter issuing a distress call.

The Arianne, a  fishing boat that was nearby, picked up the men from their liferaft, and all are said to be safe and well.

The crew has been tranferred to the Valentia lifeboat and is expected ashore soon.
