A "severe fire" is raging aboard a 29,000-tonne car-carrying ship off the southeastern coast of England, according to British fire brigade officials.
They said the cargo of the ship, the Oriental Highway, was reported to have caught fire.
Members of the ship's 21-strong crew were fighting the fire, and a specialist team from the East Sussex Fire Brigade was being air-lifted by coastguard helicopter to help.
No one is believed to have been injured.
