An action aimed at securing family support services for a Roma woman and her six month old baby, who had been staying at a camp on a roundabout in Dublin will come before the High Court on Friday.
Mariora Rostas and her six month old son Antei, who earlier this month was briefly taken into care but later returned to his mother, are part of a group of Roma who were camped at the roundabout at Ballymun, on an intersection above the busy motorway.
Last Monday, Ms Rostas secured leave to bring High Court proceedings against the Health Service Executive aimed at securing family support services, including emergency accommodation.
Today, when the matter was mentioned in court, Mr Justice George Birmingham adjourned it until tomorrow after he was told by counsel for the HSE, that Ms Rostas wished to bring certain information to the attention of the HSE.
Counsel said the HSE had pencilled in a case conference for August 1st in relation to the infant, but would consider bringing it forward once they secured the information.
Counsel for Ms Rostas consented to the adjournment.
The court previously heard that on July 14th last at Ballymun the infant was removed from Ms Rostas by the gardai, on foot of the Childcare Act, while she was begging on a busy road.
On July 16th, the child was placed in emergency care but on July 20th the HSE withdrew its care application and the child was returned to his mother.
