A court has ordered the demolition of a £200,000 house in Galway city because it was found to have breached planning regulations.

The decision was made by Judge Harvey Kenny after Galway Corporation had applied for an injunction against the developer of the house at Circular Road.

It was the second injunction obtained by the local authority this week, as Judge Kenny also ordered that an extension to a house on College Road must come down because it did not have planning permission.
