Aer Rianta was this morning granted a temporary High Court Order preventing protesting Servisair employees from interfering in the operation of Dublin Airport.

A picket outside Dublin Airport was lifted earlier today as SIPTU representatives and Servisair management began talks at the Labour Relations Commission.

The talks are seeking to resolve a dispute that has led to over 100 employees being suspended.

Earlier this week, employees staged a sit-in at baggage ramps in protest at new rosters introduced last Monday.

Staff are understood to have been flown in from the UK to cover for the protesting baggage handlers who have been suspended as a result of their refusal to operate new rosters.

They say the new arrangements and other new work practices have been introduced "unilaterally" and mean they will be forced to work five out of every six Sundays. They currently work one Sunday in three.

Management say the newly introduced flexibility arrangements are common practice among other companies in the industry.
