An application to have developer Thomas McFeely declared bankrupt has been adjourned at the High Court.

Teresa McGuinness, of Rush, Co Dublin, who secured an award against Mr McFeely’s Coalport Building Company Ltd in July 2009, has brought the proceedings.

Ms McGuinness had sued Coalport for attempting to sell her a house in Balrothery, Co Dublin, which had serious structural defects and was awarded €103,000 in damages. She claims she has not been paid and is also owed €200,000 in costs arising from that action.

Lawyers for Mr McFeely, whose firm built Priory Hall, at a hearing before Ms Justice Elizabeth Dunne said there was an issue in relation to service of summons papers.
