Vintage car fans travelled from all over Ireland to Crookstown, Co Cork, yesterday for the national rally of the Irish Vintage Society, which was held in the village for the first time.
Crookstown has been home to a vintage show for 23 years, with an average 200 exhibits usually on show.
However, yesterday’s event had several hundred additional exhibits, arising out of the connection to the vintage society.
Exhibits included cars, tractors, motorbikes, stationary engines and farm implements.
Yesterday’s show featured a number of family-oriented events including tractor balancing, bastable baking and butter-making.
It also included steam threshing, car and bike displays and vintage auto jumbles.
Crookstown Veteran and Vintage Club was founded in 1989.
