An entertainer who will never perform again, after an accident in which he suffered massive injuries, settled his action for damages in the High Court in cork yesterday. The case lasted five days.

Mr Tony Murphy, known as Tony Stevens, of Ballinlough, Cork, sued Mr Frank O'DriscoIl, of Monaknappa, Blarney, the driver of a van in which he was returning from an engagement in Co Galway on December 23rd, 1992, when it was in collision with an articulated truck. Liability was not an issue.

Mr Murphy now walks with a pronounced limp and faces a future of constant pain and further operations.
