A former hackney driver from Cork has been jailed for two years for sexually assaulting a married woman.

A former hackney driver from Cork has been jailed for two years for sexually assaulting a married woman.

Denis O'Brien (34), of Windsor Terrace, St Luke, was found guilty of sexual assault in November. The jury found him not guilty of two counts of attempted rape. Earlier, he was found not guilty by direction on a charge of attempted buggery and an additional count of sexual assault.

The charges arose from an incident in Mr O'Brien's home on October 19th, 1998.
