Employment in the construction sector declined for the third month in a row in November, according to figures released today by the Central Statistics Office (CSO).
However, the data show employment in the sector was 0.3 per cent ahead in November 2003 compared with the same month the previous year.
The monthly employment index increased from 128.7 in November 2002 to 129.1 in November 2003.
The baseline for this index is set at 100 which was the level of employment in the sector in 1990.
