An Orange Order lodge in Belfast has officially complained about the decision of Ulster Unionist leader Tom Elliott and his senior party colleague Danny Kennedy to attend the funeral Mass of PSNI Constable Ronan Kerr.

A lodge in the Sandy Row area of Belfast complained Mr Elliott and the UUP Minister of Regional Development “sold their souls for political expediency” in attending the Mass. The Catholic police officer was murdered in a dissident republican car bomb attack in Omagh, Co Tyrone in April.
