An additional grant of almost £800,000 for Community Development Programmes was announced yesterday by the Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs, Mr Ahern.
The Minister announced a new funding system for local programmes which will involve the allocation of an additional £600,000 for 87 CDP projects over the next 12 months. A further £168,265 is being provided in capital grants.
