Garda Commissioner Fachtna Murphy said yesterday that gardaí were discharging their responsibilities in relation to missing solicitor Michael Lynn.

He said gardaí had received complaints about the solicitor and were gathering evidence with a view to presenting a file to the DPP.

On Monday the High Court had asked what steps gardaí had taken to find the solicitor whose property dealings have contributed to his estimated liabilities of about €80 million.

A warrant for his arrest was issued last month when he failed to obey a court order requiring him to attend the court in relation to property dealings.
