Eight kilograms of cocaine worth €800,000 has been seized in Co Kildare.
The drugs were found in a house in Carbury by officers from the Garda National Drugs Unit, local gardai and the Garda Dog Unit.
Twenty kilos of a mixing agent which, if used on the seized cocaine, would have inflated its value to approximately €2 million.
A man in his 50's was arrested and is being held in Naas Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
